Policies:
Card on file:
- We hold a card on file for all massage bookings.
- Your card info is held securely through Square. Square is one of the top payment processing systems in the world. Square protects its systems with industry-leading technology and security, and adheres to strict Payment Card Industry (PCI) standards.
- We will only charge your card on file in accordance with our 24 Hour Cancellation Policy. You will be notified any time your card on file is charged.
- You can check out with a different form of payment on site. You will not automatically be charged with the card you saved on file, you may use any form of accepted payment (including cash) to pay at the end of your service. See our "Payment" section under "Procedures" below for our full list of accepted payments.
24 Hour Cancellation:
- We have a 24 hour cancellation policy. We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise that require you to reschedule or cancel your appointment with us. However, to best manage our schedule and ensure fairness to all our clients, we have a 24 hour cancellation policy.
- Late cancellations or no shows are charged 50% of service fee. If you cancel your appointment without at least 24 hours notice or miss your appointment, we will charge your card on file 50% of your total service cost as a cancellation fee.
- Feel free to rebook, reschedule, or cancel as needed at least 24 hours before your appointment. You can make changes to your appointment conveniently through the link in your confirmation and reminder email, or by calling or texting 336.355.7067. Please do not attempt to cancel or reschedule by email.
Tardiness:
- Please arrive a few minutes early for your appointment. We recommend arriving 5 to 10 minutes early for your first appointment to give you time to find our office, fill out your intake form, use the restroom, have a thorough intake with your massage therapist, and start your appointment on time without feeling rushed.
- We may be able to accommodate some tardiness. If circumstances demand, we may be able to accommodate up to 10 minutes of tardiness and allow you to receive your full massage time.
- If you arrive late and your massage starts more than 10 minutes past your scheduled appointment time, your session will be cut short. You will be charged the full cost of your service.
- If you have not arrived or contacted us within 10 minutes past your scheduled massage appointment, your massage will be considered missed. Your card on file will be charged 50% of the appointment cost as a cancellation fee.
Weather or Unexpected Circumstances:
- We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a massage service in the event that inclement weather or situations outside of our control would jeopardize the safety of our therapists or prevent safe operation of your massage. In such a circumstance we would notify you by phone as early as possible and reschedule your massage.
ZERO TOLERANCE:
- Greensboro Massage and Bodywork provides exclusively therapeutic massage therapy with licensed and professional massage therapists.
- Inappropriate or lewd behavior will not be tolerated. Any inappropriate actions, lewd behavior, or sexual misconduct from a client towards a massage therapist will result in immediate termination of the massage and removal from the premises. 100% of the service cost will be charged to the card on file.
- Suggestive comments or solicitation of non-therapeutic services will not be tolerated.
Age Requirement:
- All clients must be 18 years of age or older to book and receive massage. Any exceptions to this policy would need prior authorization from the owner. Please contact us at 336.355.7067.
Procedures:
GENERAL MASSAGE PROCEDURES:
- At your first appointment you will fill out an intake form with information about your current conditions. Please notify your therapist at subsequent appointments of any relevant changes to your health.
- Before each session starts your massage therapist will discuss with you any current or ongoing issues or conditions that may affect your service, and your goals for your session.
- During your massage, make sure to tell your therapist if you are experiencing discomfort or pain. Good communication is essential to allow your therapist to adjust their pressure or massage techniques for maximum effectiveness.

- Face masks are currently optional for massage therapists and clients. You may request your massage therapist wear a mask.
Allergies or sensitivities:
- Please let us know if you have any allergies or sensitivities that may affect your service when booking your appointment and at the time of your service.
Massage Products:
- Our therapists work with a variety of high grade, top quality therapeutic massage oils, gels, lotions, and creams. If you have any sensitivities to smell or allergies, please let us know when you make your appointment and on site.
- We use pure, therapy grade essential oils. We have a selection of essential oils available on request for use during your appointment at no additional cost. Our most popular options are lavender, eucalyptus, and orange.
- We will only use our in-house products for your services.
UNDRESSING AND DRAPING:
- You may wear whatever amount of clothing during your massage that you are most comfortable with. Our Thai Massage and Hendrickson Method Massage services both are performed with clients fully clothed, though for our other massage services most clients choose to undress either fully or down to their underwear.
- In all of our massage services, your pelvic area and pectoral area will remain covered with a sheet the entire time. Your massage therapist will leave the room to allow you to undress to your level of comfort. After undressing, you will lay on the massage table underneath a sheet and blanket.
- Let your massage therapist know if you feel too warm or too cold during your session. We can make adjustments to the table heat, add or remove blankets, or use a fan to adjust the temperature for your comfort.
PAYMENT:
- A card on file is required for all appointments.
- We accept all major credit cards, Cash, Check, Venmo, Apple Pay, Android Pay, Spafinder Gift Cards, and Greensboro Massage and Bodywork Gift Cards (available for purchase online).
- Payment is rendered at the end of your massage session. You are not required to pay with the card on file. You can use any accepted payment method to pay at the end of your service.
- Want to prepay for your massage? You may prepay for your appointment at booking, either over the phone or online. You may also prepay via a link in your confirmation or reminder email.
- Want to prepay with a gift card? Enter your Spafinder gift card information just like a credit card. Please call if you would like to prepay with a Greensboro Massage and Bodywork Square Gift Card.
- Please know the value of your Spafinder Gift Card(s) ahead of time. You can check the balance of your Spafinder gift card here.
