Thai Yoga Massage

Thai massage draws from traditional Aryuvedic practices and the notion of energy, or Sen, lines. The Sen channels correspond to different parts of the body, such as the bones, muscles, blood, and nerves. Tight muscles cause blockages that reduce the flow of life energy, resulting in stiffness, pain, and illness. Thai Massage applies a variety of techniques, including compression, stretching, and acupressure, to open the energy pathways of the body and restore function.  While it can be quite active, many people find the experience deeply relaxing.

When receiving Thai Yoga Massage you will remain fully clothed and receive your massage on a padded floor mat. As Thai Yoga Massage involves a lot of moving and stretching, you should arrive wearing comfortable, loose fit clothing such as you would wear for an active athletic activity. A loose fitting t-shirt with stretchy yoga pants, shorts, or sweat pants would work well. Avoid skirts, dresses, or jeans.

What are the Benefits of Thai Yoga Massage?

  • Increase Range of Motion: With repeated Thai Massage sessions, the gradual, gentle stretching will enhance your flexibility over time, allowing a greater range of motion. Thai massage may also improve the circulation of the fluid in the joints, improving joint mobility and range of motion.
  • Boosts Energy: Research shows that Thai Massage can increase people's physical energy levels. iki relaxes your body into a parasympathetic state, allowing for healing to occur.
  • Stimulates Circulation: Thai massage can promote the circulation of both blood and lymph through the use of gentle yoga-like stretches that increase blood circulation, promoting cell growth and heart health.
