About Anthony Phillips
Focused on Restoring Function and EaseAnthony Phillips is a seasoned massage therapist with over 15 years of experience in bodywork and manual therapy. He graduated from the University of Georgia and the Swedish Institute: NYC College of Health Sciences, the oldest continuously operating massage therapy institution in the country. He is currently on faculty at the GTTC Massage Therapy Program.
Anthony has studied a wide range of therapeutic massage techniques including Swedish Massage, Zero Balancing, the Klein Technique, Medical Massage, Thai Massage, Shiatsu, Functional Movement Training, Kinesiology, Myofascial Release Techniques, and the Feldenkrais Method. He applies his expertise in each session with bodywork that is a blend of Eastern and Western approaches. His work is also informed by his career as a professional dance artist in New York City. He moved from New York to North Carolina in 2021, and is very happy to have returned to his roots, as he was originally from the South. He enjoys spending his free time with his dogs in the woods. Anthony is passionate about restoring function in the body and helping clients return to pain free movement, and believes the experience of wholeness and integration that comes with consistent and effective bodywork can greatly improve the quality of our lives and relationships! |
